Maker Faire/BazBiz was the most fun-indulgent-exciting-giggly-exhausting weekend I've had in a long time. I was lucky to share a table with the incredible Missy Ballance of Mohair Circus and be next to Roxy Craft's Tamie and SacCraftMafia ladies Amy and Sophia. On our drive home, Missy said it was fun to be part of something larger--something more than our small craft rooms, messy houses and even crazier everyday lives. I totally agree. It also felt like a nice validation of what we do. Don't get me wrong, I would make things no matter what. At times it's complusive and involuntary--much like picking your nose. But to have people stop by, say hello and tell me they like what I do..it makes it real. And wonderful.
BTW, the winner of the humpday giveaway is Tamra! If you're Tamra, please send me your addy and I'll get your little snail and vine on their way. And a big thank you to all who commented! If I was still in the sixth grade, I'd make friendship bracelets for each of you. Totally.
